Chief BJ Sewert has been a member of the Lewisburg Fire Department since 1971. Chief Sewert was an original member of the newly formed Lewisburg Emergency Unit in 1975. Chief Sewert became Chief of the Lewisburg Emergency Unit on September 01, 1975, Chief Sewert became a third-generation Fire Chief, following in his late Grandfather and Fathers footsteps when he became Fire Chief on January 01, 1989. Chief Sewert oversees a department of 3 full-time FF/Paramedics, several part-time FF/Paramedics and 30 part-time paid on call FF, EMT’s, Advanced EMT’s and Paramedic’s.  Assistant Chief Kenny Pierce started his career as a volunteer firefighter in 1991. Assistant Chief Pierce went on to become a State of Ohio Level II firefighter, EMT-B, Paramedic and Fire Inspector. Assistant Chief Pierce became Lewisburg Fire/EMS first full-time employee January 01, 1996 working a 40-hour work week. Assistant Chief Pierce was promoted to current position in Late 1996.  Assistant Chief Pat Fink has been a member of the Lewisburg Fire/EMS since 1997 serving as a volunteer and transitioning into a full time FF/Paramedic in 2002. Assistant Chief Fink was promoted to currently position in 2004. Assistant Chief Fink oversees the department’s training bureau and also manages the  Lewisburg Fire/EMS Training Center.  Assistant Chief Fink started his career in 1974 as a cadet with the Wayne Township Fire Department in Montgomery County, Ohio.  Lieutenant Aaron Kimmel was hired as a Full- time FF/Paramedic in July of 2017. He has 12 years of Fire service experience starting as a volunteer with The Greenville Township Fire Department in Darke County, Ohio. He has also served several communities in a part time capacity before accepting his current position. Kimmel was promoted to his current position as Lieutenant in April 2019.
